Eight people were killed and 13 were injured Tuesday in New York after 29-year-old Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov drove a rented Home Depot truck down the wrong way of a busy street. The suspect has been living in the U.S. since 2010 and is believed to have been radicalized while living here. He was shot by police and had to have surgery for his injuries and is speaking with authorities while the investigation is underway. A note pledging allegiance to ISIS was found in or near the truck used to commit the terrorist attack and the suspect has been charged with federal terrorism. A second suspect is being sought in this crime and is said to have helped the primary suspect plan this act for weeks. As the story continues to develop updates will be given here at DTLR!
