Last night was an amazing celebration as Nike and DTLR unveiled the exclusive 35th anniversary edition of the legendary Air Force 1 tennis shoe. The event was hosted by DTLR’s Jay Hill and DJ Flow, while the legendary DJ Scottie B handled the 1s and 2s, playing a range of new school and old school hits.

Taking place at the DTLR located on Monument St. in Baltimore, several of the city’s tastemakers came out to celebrate this new release. This included local rappers Tate Kobang, Deetranada, Bandhunta Izzy, Peso Da Mafia, hilarious comedian Smoove, and many others.

Throughout the night, various folks got on the mic to say a few words about this amazing collaboration between Air Force 1 and DTLR. Representatives from Nike were in the building and they spoke on Baltimore’s historical past with the Air Force 1.

DTLR’s own DJ Scottie B also reminisced on Baltimore’s meaningful relationship with the iconic shoe, saying point blank, “There’s no Air Force 1s without Baltimore.” He was met with a loud applause from the store full of tastemakers and shoe lovers.
