Hurricane Irma has strengthened to a category five as of this morning.  Puerto Rico, Florida and northeastern Caribbean islands near them have been told to brace for this extremely dangerous storm.  While Texas and Louisiana are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey, it is possible that Irma could slam into the gulf coast causing more catastrophic damage.  The National Hurricane Center says the storm could take a sharp turn to the right up to the east coast as of Friday but the path is still uncertain.  People in the path of the storm are encouraged to get out as quickly as possible, but if you are unable to do so there are some things you can do to prepare.  Go to redcross.org for the extensive emergency preparedness list you may need.
