Trey Songz debuted his highly anticipated seventh project “Tremaine the Album” March 24, 2017.   Trey Songz fans in the DMV region had the opportunity to purchase his album from either the Rhode Island Avenue or South Park Mall DTLR stores in D.C. and Virginia.  The first 600 fans to purchase his album were given a wristband for exclusive access to an autograph signing March 27th and 28th and they came out in massive numbers!

Although the signing was set to start at 6pm, Trey fans showed up hours before just to get a good spot in line.  People were still purchasing his album moments before he arrived.  The lines wrapped around the building filled with men, women and children from infancy to senior citizens.  The Franchise  DJ Jay Claxton, DJ Scottie B and The Party Kingpin DJ QuickSilva served as the hosts and DJs and set the perfect atmosphere for the D.C. event, while Trey’s biological brother DJ A-Wall was the MC for the Virginia event.  The music selections started with some of his classic throwback singles such as; Gotta Make It, Gotta Go, Say Ahh, Heart Attack, and Hail Mary to name a few.  As time progressed only songs from Trey’s newest venture would be heard the remainder of the evening.

A large stage with flat screen televisions on each side would play video images of the new album.  There was a long table draped in black cloth ready with pens and posters for Trey to sign for each of his fans.  Fans were reminded to have their posters and CD pamphlets out and ready to be signed.  Trey allowed each fan to take selfies and videos for the occasion.  One woman was so overwhelmed with his presence that she screamed and cried from the moment she stepped in front of him to when she walked out of the store.  The crowd energy was high and everyone was pleased.  Make sure you grab the album because it is amazing and available in all DTLR stores now!
