Apple held its annual press event at the brand-new Apple Park campus in Cupertino Tuesday with several major announcements.  It’s been 10 years since the first iPhone was launched and Apple is commemorating the milestone with the anniversary edition iPhone X.  To add excitement, the unveiling of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were announced as well.

The iPhone X starts at a whopping $999 and preorder starts 10/27/17 and will be available to purchase 11/3/17.  The home button is gone, it has facial recognition, a glass front and back, and it is water and dust resistant.  For $1,000 I personally will need it to have more than that, but you can check out all the specs on Apple.com.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have been upgraded, but are a more cost effective option to the iPhone X.  They have the all-new glass design, they are faster and have better photo quality than the previous versions of iPhone.  The launch of Apple’s latest gadgets has sparked the grand old android vs. iPhone debate on social media and one can only laugh at how competitive technology remains.  For now, I’ll stick with my iPhone 7 Plus and see how everything plays out.
