It’s been a lucky few years for Jordan Brand aficionados after the release of some of the rarest samples in its history. The Air Jordan 7 Pantone was a great example of this and now, after eights years in the vault, the Air Jordan 13 “History of Flight” will finally see a general release on July 22nd — much to the excitement of Jordan diehards worldwide.
This release is a big deal because back in 2009, Jordan Brand unveiled the History of Flight collection made up of original signature Air Jordan models to celebrate the line’s 25th anniversary. On display at different Nike retail locations for the World Basketball Festival in Chicago, the collection drew massive crowds from around the world but, unfortunately for fans, was never released at retail.
The July 22nd release of the History of Flight edition of the Air Jordan 13 features premium white tumbled leather and a matching mudguard. The model’s classic holographic panther-inspired bubble contrasts the rest of the sneaker, University Red lining matches the outsole, and Metallic Silver Jumpman branding brings it all together — exactly what needed to happen after eight-plus years of waiting.
